So this Don Imus Guy made a racist comment. Now since it was about a minority, they are all calling for him to be fired and saying that somebody including the networks he is on need to take responsibility for what he said. Yet on the other hand Rosie can say terrible things and nobody tells ABC to get her off the View. When she said that MAINSTREAM Christians were more dangerous than the Taliban, Civil rights groups and the media weren't lined up trying to take ABC down and get her fired. Same thing with these Duke Lacross players- they had nasty terrible things said about them, Their civil rights were violated and slanderous accusations made, there are no civil rights groups out there protesting what happened to them. This is a huge Double Standard- are select minorities the only people entitled to civil rights protections. Aren't White males and Christians entitled to the same respect? Or are the civil rights groups just as big of bigots as they claim everyone else is?

I don't get it either. Maybe if George Bush said it but IMUS!!!!

Granted, I thought it was LOW of him to ridicule those young ladies but come on...I know how to stop watching a show, how to lower ratings. What next...calling Howard Stern offensive????

And why does the white media cater to Jesse and Al...they make me want to join the Klan...I swear.

There have been far more intelligent black commentators on who stress the importance of violence from blacks against women and needing to address that issue.

Well, there is a huge enormous difference between religion and race. It is becoming popular to become offend in this world of ours, and i am growing very tired of it.

Minority groups love to ***** and whine, thats their foothold into indirectly controlling the media. A white person cant say anything, dont get me wrong I am not condoning anything any dumbest white racist says, but had a Black guy said something about a group of white girls, a bunch of people would of been like "LOL oh how true, amen brother, holla holla holla, yyee yee, roll one up". But no a white person makes a comment and BAM stamped an ****** forever. So lame.

Next time I hear a black guy say "you dance like a white boy/girl" i eill drop him. But I probabley wont cause I am a fantastic dancer lol.

I think it depends on the news of the day as to what gets press. Don Imus is well-known, and probably has more listeners than Rosie. Rosie and the Donald news was stupid, but that was huge! Or, maybe the more influence one has, makes it bigger than anohter story. I personally am just sick of these people getting paid for their negativity, apologizing and moving on. Are they really apologizing? I doubt it. They can make their own web pages and broadcast all they want, but why should they make as much money as they do? That just gets me angry.

I am not a racist! but yes this is really a double standard and I think everyone is outraged over it.
We do have freedom of speech except for certain people then we have to be so careful.

maybe you should start a civil right movement to help rich white people when they get wrongly accused of crimes.
