I hate the media is always report crazy things it talk about nutty celebrity, white trash, and racial slurs. WHO CARE. WHAT THEM SHOULD REPORT IS,WHAT HAPPEN IN IRAN RIGHT NOW, OR THE REST OF THE WORLD, AND WHAT ARE THE WORLDS' FEELING ABOUT US.

YES I do hate the media all it reports is garbage. Americans thrive on drama because there lives are so mundane and life less its pathetic. Plus comericals treat us as if we are just stupid. But in fact most of us are I'm sorry to say.Our country is just full of people that have no common sense at all. So the media conforms to the Masses. And so those of us that do have a brain get annoyed. Most of the world does hate us because we have to much and live to high on the hog so to speak.

I'll be honest though, some things in the media matter. I don't think finding out who was Anna Nicole's baby was very important, but the recent Imus issue has a ton of signifigance.

I hate pretty much any group that tells me what I *should* think is important.

That's pretty much what the media is these days.

If I listen to these crazies, I should think it's impoortant that Britany Spears and "K-Fed" are divorcing and she's trying to get custody and he's being nice about it for once. I should think it's important that some redneck was given time on the airwaves, which is neither shocking (I'm in a rural area in Texas) nor important in my life. I should for some reason care that Dannielynn's daddy is one of at least three very-well off men, or that Big-Boobs-But-Brainless Anna Nicole Smith was on a lot of drugs (there's a shock).

You know what?

Britany and K-Fed do not care about my personal life, and they are completely unaffected by what my kids are going through every day, or what I go through as a normal mom who tries to follow all the laws and do what's best for my kids, instead of make some pathetic attempts to live it up in the spotlight at the risk of actual human beings who depend on me for evyerthing.

I care much more about the infants in the world who have no one who wants them, instead of the infants who have people in courts trying to fight for the right to be her Daddy. You know, the ones who are nameless in the media, because they weren't lucky enough to be born to easy, drug-popping tabloid stars.

And quite frankly, I would love for people to grow up, get angry if someone really hurt your feelings, apologize if they hurt someone elses feelings, all without everything having to take up 98% of media time and space.

And you know what else? If you go too far into foreign current events, you won't have to dig for long before learning that the rest of the world kind of dislikes us. Since that bruises our little American egos, we either pout about it, spout out some idiotic and useless diatribe, or we focus on the "really important news", like -- YOU GUESSED IT -- celebrity gossip and hurt feelings.

I agree, most tastes seem to run to trash, and that is a shame. There are so many good stories to report, and we that enjoy something intelligent have so few choices among the news.
