Initially the alarm went off (but has stopped) However, the alarm box outside the house is still flashing and the attack light is showing on the keypad. I have tried to do a reset but nothing seems to work - have just moved into the house and previous owners left us no details of the alarm.

I own a complete, 124 piece collection of flatware. It is mostly silver plate (94 pieces) with some stainless steel knives (30 pieces) (white handles ivory ?). It has never been used and was a wedding present to my parents in 1933. It is in its original wooden chest.

The brand name is "Carlton Cutlery, Sheffield" The stainless steel is marked "Firth-Brearley" and the silver plate is marked "EPNS" "A1"

I bought these 'unbreakable' tumblers and stacked eight of them together. Now, I cannot get them apart. I am a twenty three year old male and this is not exactly doing wonders for the ol' manliness. Somebody help me out here, will ya?

For security reasons I need to buy and install ( it is already wired from the old one that broke a long time ago), but I need to buy an elec. garage door opener for security but also I have very little money, so what would you suggest I do ? If I have to pay $200 I will, but thought I'd ask you first as I am living on pennies.

I am graduating from a good university with an BA and a BS this year. We will be leaving town because with the plethora of grads around here the job market is tight. I have to look elsewhere (out of state) for work.

I know where I *want* to go, but there is no guarantee someone there will hire me. So all I have is two general regions of the US where I will be applying for work (Pacific Northwest and New England).

I have three kids in school and pets, I can't just pick up and leave with a moment's notice. I can't even look at schools, homes or anything until I know where I will be hired! We live in university family housing, so I have to be moved out by two weeks after graduation.

How do you prepare for a major family move when you have no clue where you're going?

I have mice in my house and we've caught so many. I'm sure there's a lot in our house. We've caught like... nine so far. We're not going to move, but I seriously can't stand it. There's mouse droppings in my house, but what's the cleanest way to get rid of it? What else can I do to get rid of those tiny pests?! NO. I WILL NOT BUY A CAT OR A SNAKE. I want the house fumigated, but my mom doesn't want the house to smell afterwards.

So what now? :(

I have a lawn mower, 2 yrs. old that has some serious internal issues...It got hung up and now when it turns over it knocks really bad while running. I am looking to take the block out of an older 3.5 and bolt all the parts onto it from the new one and throw the newer, more damaged block away. Is this possible? Are the holes on the blocks for carbs and pipes etc...all the same for 3.5-5hp motors?? My dad has a bunch of old lawn mowers at his house that don't run. 3 of them are B&S Someone please fill me in..

Thank you.

I currently have a woodburning stove that needs to be replaced. A friend of ours says he has a corn stove and seems to be persuading my husband towards that. I need to know more before making a decision. I had never even heard of a corn stove. Any advice or suggestions?

Well, there's a pretty darn big bug (it must be over an inch long. I think it might be a cricket or grasshopper, but I'm not sure) in front of my closet, and I'm having problems getting over my squemishness. I know I should just take a broom and dustpan, sweep it up and throw it away, but whenever I start I feel like I'm going to throw up, and I can't get anyone else to get it for me. Help?

I've tried sticky traps, enclosed traps (it just ate the peanut butter and didn't set the trap off), and am at my wits end. I love animals, but not ones that poop all over the kitchen. Any personal experience in this matter would be most helpful! This is one smart mousie!
