How do I go about having a private sale that I can sell things for fairly reasonable prices. I don't want to sell my 80.00 commerative plate for 4.00. I don't want to call it an Estate sale either. Any ideas?

In your case, I would advise listing these items in the newspaper or on E-bay.

yes....go to an ebay store.........

You take your items to the store and the person there puts your items for sale on ebay and then charges a small fee for their services.

You can have a 'reserve' price on the item so you dont have to accept a ridiculously low bid.

This way it is like having an auction that you invite the whole world to attend.

Try it. You will have much better luck than if you were to try to sell the items to just the few people in your neighborhood.

set up your sale will it will be seen by ability of individuals authentic away. in case you get warm set up a fan next to you. It isn't as sturdy as aircon even nevertheless it works. you could %. up those around neon circle stickers almost everywhere you will locate workplace materials, which will paintings for pricing. As for pricing use your suited wager as to how lots somebody could pay for the object. you will no longer get what you paid for them, so only make your suited wager. And continuously be prepared to pass down on your fee somewhat human beings will attempt to get the suited fee they are in a position to. Like i could say the sombreros you should place like $20 to $25 on them perhaps somewhat greater. Make your suited wager. make certain you submit fliers some week till now your sale declaring the time and date of the sale and a few of what you're able to have interior the sale. and don't for get to place the place the sale is at. additionally make certain you have a metamorphosis field with quarters, ones, and fives. yet even nevertheless many you think of you're able to choose.

Call the local auctioneers (look in the yellow pages) and have them come take a look and they will give you an idea what things are worth. Then you can have them do the work for you. You can set a reserve on the items before they go to auction. The auctioneer will help you set reasonable expectations too.

Try the local swap meet. If all else fails try eBay. You can always put a Reserve on your item so you don't have to sell it for a lesser price than intended.

People who generally go to yard sales don't have alot of money to spend. I would try the flea market/swap meet.

Good Luck! :)

sell them on ebay, or list them individualy in the paper.

you may not get nearly what you hope to.for example...you clearly remember paying $80 for that plate, but chances are that there are very few people who care about it, and are willing to pay much for it.
good luck.
remember...its just stuff.
