Yes, they are more reliable and easier to use than the standard knobs. You no longer have to use force just to turn the knobs :)

Very reliable. No moving parts like traditional knobs.
Can be a bit fiddly to use sometimes though. But look good.

I haven't used one but know from other appliances that touch controls are quite reliable.

I like the one that we have. It is a Jenn-Aire unit and you just push the button and you have the level of heat that you want.
We are happy with it, and it has worked fine for over 10 yrs now.

my mum has them on her hob and has no problem with them, read the instruction booklet first.
