My !@#$% husband set the hot BBQ lid on the grass, and now we have a perfectly round patch of dead grass. Brilliant. Do you have any tips on bringing it back to life?

It is a creeping weed that looks like a jade with fairly thick stems. The stems are kinda flesh colored/pinkish. It covers ground really fast and is the bane of my garden.

Went to LTS Homes in NY, and although from the outside it's inviting apart from the cement slab the walls inside I noticed either had cracks in it, or tissue thin. I noticed stains around the windows on the ceiling, so I don't think the roof handles well with rain and such. These homes go for over $70,000 , so how do they get away with making them so cheaply and sell them for a lot, when it isn't a real home?

The last two lawn/garage sales I had, I only made a dollar each time and it wasn't even household stuff - it was some plants I brought home from work to sell. I have lots of beatitful antiques, china, glassware and other collectibles that I'm trying to liquidate from my mother's house. I'm right on the main road and there's tons of traffic going by, but nobody is stopping and those that are expect you to GIVE them the stuff. I even called local antique dealers and auctions, but nobody is interested in my stuff. I even advertised and only a few people showed up but I guess they didn't want anything. I'd like to get the house cleaned out so I can sell it, but it looks like I'm going to have it for a LONG time at this rate. Any ideas why there's such a slump in the antiques market? What can I do to expedite my sales?

We have a big black bin for household rubbish which is emptied fortnightly
We have a big green bin for garden rubbish and waste food which is emptied on the alternate fortnight
We also have a small black bin which is emptied weekly for recyclable items like glass, tins, paper, plastic and clothes.
All items must be put in separate bags and be cleaned first.
Bins must be put out at 7am.If they are put out the day before then we are liable to a fine. We now have rats and maggots and foul smells 'wafting' that we never had before.

Do the stems have a touch of reddish tint on them right before the leaf starts? Does it just have a million stems growing out of a hairy root? I poured bleach on it, will that kill whatever it is?

I have a bird feed stake that holds 4 birdfeeders. I have been lucky enough to attract a lot of birds to my yard, however, if I fill them in the morning, I can get up the next morning and the birds have eaten through-out the night and have kicked all the birdseed out onto the ground and the feeders are empty. I must have a 3 inch pile of birdseed on the ground. Is there any ideas out there that can tell me how to catch and reuse this birdseed without raking it up and throwing it away?? The seeds drop into my flower bed and I have a ton of sunflowers growing, which I don't want. I have gotten so mad, I have finally stopped feeding the birds. I can't believe I am the only one that has their birdseed kicked out onto the ground. Any ideas would be helpful.

I have so much stuff and junk everywhere and this time I want to move with no clutter. I am only moving my necessities but I have so much and it's overwhelming. I don't know where to start. One person told me to start with the smaller rooms first...sounds good to me. Any other ideas? Should I pack clothing or just carry them on hangers? All the junk I don't want, take it to Goodwill? Any help would be a life saver, thank you!!!

This morning I woke up and saw a gnat buzzing around my room. "No big deal." I thought, shooing it away. I went on with my day, until I went into the kitchen about an hour ago. It seemed like there was a complete INFESTATION of gnats! I snapped about four of them in an old schoolbook, and took out the trash multiple times, but they're still there. Any safe ways you know to get rid of them without pesticides(this is a kitchen as you know)?

i just rented a 2 bedroom apt but our master bedroom is hot! The AC in the living room doesnt cool it well at all. Does anyone know a good way to cool a 15' X 15' bedroom without installing a window AC? I've heard of portable AC units but I think they are pricey. Thanks

I just ripped up the carpet in a room of my single story house. I have a 3 foot crawl space under the entire house. The sub floor looks to be some sort of plywood, which is in good shape. So, must I really add some sort of vapor barrier? What are to he consequences if I don't? My house was built in 1941 and it still has the original hardwood floors, with no vapor barrier. What gives? Is this stuff a scam...?

By the way I'll be putting down 3/4 inch walnut...
