There are these bees that appeared after the people who live next door did some renovation to there house. They were not there before the renovation. But now that the work is done these bees are still flying around and coming on to my property now. They are all black and pretty big with big, clear wings. Can anybody tell me what kind they are and how I can get rid of them. Also you can forget about trying to tell me to talk to these people about the bees, We dont talk to them at all. Thats another whole story. So any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does not sound like yellow jackets. In that case, I'd tell you to get them exterminated.

Sounds like you have bumble bees. They are actually very good to have around, especially for flowers and gardens.

They sell non-poisonous traps in Home Depot and nurseries, but bear in mind that there are states at the present where farmers are facing a big problem because of the sudden scarcity of bees, for some mysterious reason. Please think twice before you kill a bee.

We may end up paying higher prices for our produce in the next decade...

They sound like carpenter bees. So named because they tunnel into wood to build their nests. They are similar in size and sometimes color to bumblebees however carpenter bees often have a shiny abdomen while bumbles are fuzzy. They are important pollinators but if you MUST get rid of them I recommend an exterminator or DIY spray.

Sorry, I have to agree. Bees are becoming endangered in many parts of the USA. Scary thought since they are responsible for the majority of pollination. They're not like wasps or hornets in that they won't sting you unless seriously provoked. Maybe ask your neighbor for some honey!

The bees are a co-incidence. They're not going to hurt anything. Bees belong here more than we do. Do you and your neighbors blame each other for thunderstorms too?

Bees are beneficial animals that generally do no harm to anyone. If you don't swat at them, they just go about their gathering food work without bother. Unless you are allergenic, just leave them alone and they will leave you alone.
