It came with some assessories that I don't understand. One with a big loop and a small loop right next to each other and it sits on the rim of the cooker towards the inside of the pot (not on the removable crock pot). I would like to know what it is for.

I've gotten contradicting information from various sources, all of which I feel are trustworthy. One source says it's crucial, especially in the ancient house I live in (built 1912) and considering my son's allergy to cats (there were cats in our house for years recently). Another source says it simply works up dormant toxic substances into the air of the rest of the house. Does anyone out there know much about the process, how to be selective about who to trust to hire or is it a waste of money?

I didn't mean that I think some of the trusses aren't load bareing. What I meant was secure/reinforce the triangle and W by bolting 2x6's in a in a purpidicular and horizontal way before cutting out any part of the W that used to be load bareing. It's hard to explain. I just figured if I use 2x6's and secure with 2 bolts at each end there would be no room for shifting and since they were 2x6's the chance of bowing is less. I live in Michigan so there is no severe weather. No blizzards, no floods, no tornados, no huricanes, nothing. I've never seen anything and I'm 35.

I wrote to my neighbour highlighting his cast iron gutter on the back of his semi detached house is missing a stop end.

This means every heavy downpour, water empties over my side of the semidetached house brick wall above the damp proof course. The leaking water has started to rot our french door's wood frame and has rotted a boundry fence that we own and have replaced to their benifit.

However, the neighbour in knowing all this is in no hurry to fix the leak causing damp to both his own and our house wall.

Ashame when winter is almost upon us now.

Does anyone know what can be done in this situation other than replace the missing stop end for him at my own expense which he would not like ? But this would remedy the leak .

Thanks in anticipation of any answers

I got a shaker kitchen from B&Q about 2 years ago. I had it fitted by builders. I noticed 6 mths after fitting that some of the veneers were bubbling (lifting off). he prob got worse and now most of the veneers on my doors are lifting off. Been writing to B&Q HQ quoting Sale of Goods Act and saying that the doors weren't fit for the purpose. B&Q have been really clever and tried avoiding answering anything properly. The kitchen is discontinued. Therefore I said that I wanted a different kitchen which I liked with side panels, plinths, pelmet and cornice. They agreed to this verbally and in writing as "we agree to the relevant parts". They sent someone to prepare an itinerary to order the items. Now not honouring what they have said and are trying to say that by referring to "relevant parts" they meant the doors and they keep on saying I only had a 1 yr g'tee. I am taking them to Court have I got a chance of winning? I have made notes of the phone calls as evidence. Pls HELP. Ta
