I think you were just unlucky. My housing association organises repairs the same week you request them and so far all the workmen have been qualified tradesmen or artisans and I have had nothing to complain about, with the work being well done. You should contact the person responsible for repairs in your housing association and let him know of your concerns and I am sure they will be sorted out.

i wouldn't know sorry, but if it's any consolation i think they will come back and do it again, but first you have to complain. do as some other people say and speak to your housing manager and get it sorted. i really don't know if they just employ monkeys or that it's only monkeys that do that sort of work. i think that the standard ratio has dropped on just about everything we as people need to drop with it.

I am with my local council. Put in a new shower 2 years ago, the tiling surrounding it was so naff, new contractors had to do it again.Next year council tenants are having kitchen & bathroom improvements !! I dread to think how mine will look, cupboards and fitments tend to fall off my walls after 6 months or so.

Dont know what Housing Assc you are with but ours does work to a high standard. Complain to the housing manager and ask him to come and inspect to give his/her opinion. Just because you rent doesnt mean you have to suffer sub standard work.
