I had half a cord of fire wood delivered Sunday night. "Seasoned oak". $115. The wood is not "seasoned". I tried to get it to burn for 1 hour. No luck. Does anyone know if I will be able to burn it this year? How long will it take to "dry out"? I'm going back to the shopping center on Saturday to see if I can find the guy. Ticked me off real good!!!!

just beautiful .... .the leaves are huge. My question is... that after I water it..... which is once a week... the tip of the leaves start to drip.., and when I feel the leaf.. it feels very saturated. I don't know what kind of plant it is... but I am wondering if that means that I am over watering it.

I originally thought I had a bee hive 50 feet up in my maple tree. I have now discovered it is a wasp nest, about the size of a frisbee and 3 inches in height. It would be almost impossible to get to the nest because it is so high up and not near any major branches. A small log was thrown at it and hit it 3 times, but didn't come out of the tree. Any suggestions for what to do about the nest? No sign of wasp activity now, but if they come back in the spring, I'll be worried about my dogs when they're outside.

Yeah, I already asked this, but it got blah answers over in the cooking section...

A bunch of them on-line don't even mention their temperature ranges, and one I saw in a shop didn't even mention it on the box. (!)

I saw one on Amazon that goes up to 700 degrees -- and five hundred bucks. Hmm.

If you have one but don't know -- give me an idea of how long it takes you to cook your pizza, and how it cooks.

My family and I have a house in California and a house in New Zealand. We live on the Coromandel Peninsula on top of a hill. We just got here and there are tiny little bugs on the window, about half the size of a grown tick. They are black and brownish, sometimes even reddish. We tried wiping them off the windows to no success-- the fall down, as if stunned, and/or dead, then 3 seconds later they pop right back up again and fly/jump around. They like to jump window to window and are only on the higher parts or them- about 2 feet from the ground and up. There are a bunch of them on the ground, not moving, but when we went to sweep them away, they started moving. Three people have told us they are seasonal, but for how long?!? I can't even go outside. If you've had any encounter with these bugs or know anything about them, please leave your knowledge!!!
