NOT bleach! Vinegar,boiling water and salt, don't scrub it, just swirl a mixture of half a cup of vinegar, a quarter cup of salt, and the rest boiling water to fill the teapot for a few minutes( use a dishwashing brush) then let it soak for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Then wash as usual with dishwashing liquid.

same as a glass coffee pot i guess try this warm a cup half vinegar and water in a microwave or a pot now pour into the pot and swirl and cover and swirl let it set for a while then use a small bottle brush to get any residue now rinse with cool clear water several times

put about a tablespoon of dishwasher soap in the pot fill it with hot water ,swirll around to mix, let it sit over nite than rinse....works great on auto drip glass coffee pots too
