With winter coming up soon, here in the midwest, I am going to ask the question: Does Setting Back the Thermostat in the Winter Really Save Energy?

According to the DOE and EnergyStar, it does. But I, and others, disagree to a point. That point being, "doesn't it take MORE energy to REWARM the house back to the COMFORT TEMP when you're home?" So in other words, does it take more energy to bring the temperature from 62 to 68, for example, rather than maintaining the temperature at 68 the entire time when the house is vacant?

I need solid proof energy is saved with the EnergyStar compliant thermostats, not just what the websites say. If anyone has any experience or tests, I would like to hear what they have to say. Thanks!

It's a very large fall garden. If the ants don't tote the seeds away, the mole crickets kill the seedlings. Please help! Thanks!

There is an old historical building in Connecticut I think would be really cool to have the blueprints or layout to frame and also make copies in art projects and use as matting in photography. IS there anyway to get copies or see the originals at at own hall or something?

It's around the shower head, plug holes and toilet basin. Basically anywhere that water sits then dries.

These are the the ones which burn little compressed-wood pellets. The advantages are supposed to be that unlike a log fire they are programmable, also you fill a hopper of pellets that keeps the file going for several days. But the fires are very very expensive, so are they worth it?

Also says "Hand Decorated, Detergent Proof, Underglazed" in a circle around the thunderbird. Says "Made in America" just above the Thunderbird and "Oven Proof" just under the thunderbird. They were my grandmothers and I would like more information on them. The pattern on the front of the plates is a circle of blue & green leaves and trees with a blue band around the edge of the plate.
