It's a very large fall garden. If the ants don't tote the seeds away, the mole crickets kill the seedlings. Please help! Thanks!

Use a natural ant and mole cricket killer repellant ..........plain old Ivory liquid. about 1/4 cup to a gallon of water. Mix gently so you do not have a lot of suds. Apply with a watering can. The Mole crickets will be suffocated. Fine yellow corn meal will control the ants as they will see it as a food stuff and the soapy water will cause it to swell up and kill them......

Plant Marigold flowers or any type of onion plant like echalots/chives/onion grass...bugs just hate it and it will definatly help with your cricket situation. You can also but pyrethrum spray which you put on the leves of your vegies (bugs dont like the taste) but try the onion first because its safer to use around something your going to eat. As for the ants, you need to find the nest and get them with a good bug spray.

Good luck Green thumbs !

Marigolds didn't do much for me. You need an outrageous amount to see a difference.

Praying mantises will do. They don't eat veggies.

If you can, put a couple of chickens in a dog playpen and let them have the bugs
