Hi Everyone! I'm moving to an artist loft and I'm trying to figure out what to use for heating the place. It is 500 sq. ft., one room, huge ceilings. There's no central heat. I was thinking about using one of those garage heaters at around 10,000 BTUs. Does anybody have any experience with those, like how loud are they and how much is electric bill going to be like on average per month? Also I'd like to know about possible alternatives. Please feel free to e-mail me with suggestions and any valid info about this. Thanks a lot for reading and for your help!

I've found tree tags at Gemplers website, and ordered some, but unfortunately they are not large enough. They are only 5/8 x 7 inches. As I said the tags I have now measure 1 x 10, and I'd like to order some atleast that big.

I worked with this company to save money for my first place. I'm about $1475 away from what I need to buy the property outright, but I found out Friday that we're going under. It's either I transfer with our branch out of state and lose my chance at buying the house, or I get the money for my place so I can live here and find a new job. What can I do? I need fast cash with no strings attached. I'm not screwing myself up with loans, or I would have done that from the start...

I live in the country, so I have well water. When I wash my clothes they turn yellow. Even when I use bleach in my whites , they still have tints of yellow. What is causing this? We have used a rust eliminator in our water softner , but stopped because we didn't really see a difference. When we first moved here, the water was really clear and clean and we had no problem washing our clothes. Even our shower stalls are having sediment and rust stains. What can I do to stop this? Do they make water filters for large family and livestock use? I mean to filter the water (take out rust, sediment, minerals). Also, we have to buy purified water (about 1-2 gallons for one day), because our water has an odor to it and tastes bad.

I have a lot of trees around my house and there are always spiders everywhere. It will be getting colder here in the UK soon so the frost should kill a lot of them but I was wondering what they really hate and if there is anything I could spray around the windows etc? If you have any tips I would be HUGELY grateful! I am absolutely terrified of them.

I am 18 and am in a stable relationship of 2 years and we are both on a steady income, we have been talking about buying a house. You read in papers and see on TV that now is the time for young people to get on the housing market as it is only going to get worse. Yet all i hear from people is to wait and that we're not ready. So which is it to do?

Short of hiring a professional, is there a product that works well to spray around the outside of my home to keep the crickets and spiders from coming in? I'd rather not use anything in my house as I have a small child. Thanks for any ideas!

I've just purchased my first nightstand as part of a new bedroom set. The drawers have remained empty for 2 weeks because I don't have any idea what is "supposed" to go in there.
