Do you know freecycle.com? They have groups all over, you post what you want ot get rid of and people that can use it contact you.
The idea is that one persons trash is another ones treasure and all is free. Go to their website and see if they have a group around your area

Mennonite Central Committee has Thrift Shops in several locations in Ontario: http://www.mcc.org/thrift/shop/canada/#ontario (sorry, I'm not certain which one may be closest to where you live). MCC is a wonderfully helpful, responsible organization. They would be happy to accept your used items.

Some hospitals will take them and any goodwill that donates to welfare recipients

the best place,{no matter were you live}Is the Red Cross,They make sure it always gets to the more needy!And thats real kind of you to take time to do,Call them,Alot of times they have poeple that come pick stuff up!Good luck!hollywood!

DO you have Goodwill,or Salvation army outlet stores ? that is where we donate to.

freecycle.org or salvation army for sure but a women's shelter (transition house) is another good cause.
