I did something stupid- can you help me?

I Ironed a pair of cotton pants on my couch (tweed material) and the iron burnt the cushion-no they dont flip over. So now there is a crispy iron mark, it looks terrible.

Can some one help please? I HAVE SEVERAL INSECT BITES ON MY ARMS ,WHIL GARDENING YESTERDAY . THEY ARE NOT SERIOUS .BUT JUST LUMPY AND ITCHY .ANY ADVICE PLEASE WHAT TO PUT ON THem ,eg household items. thanks in advance.

Continuation of Serious question?

My house is clean, and I don't have trash laying around and I am kinda insulted that you think that is the only reason to have flies.
I live in a small country town and it is a 100 + degrees daily and everyone here has this problem, not just me.
The glue things don't work. Any more suggestions now that you know I am not just a slob with flies.

A serious question?

Please only serious answers. How do you get rid of flies. I have a major fly problem at my house and it happens every year at this time. Last year we put those beer bag things on the front porch, but it stunk so bad and I think every fly in my town came to get in that bag. Every time I kill 3, 6 more appear. Where are they coming from and how do I get rid of them? They are driving me CRAZY! Thanks
