Im having issues with my hummingbird feeder. I cant keep the ants out of it. I put ant killer all the way around the post it is hanging on. I tried putting cooking oil on the hanger. Someone said that would work. It still gets ants in it. How does everyone else keep ants out of theirs?

We moved into a house and one of the toilets is awful. It has some kind of mineral or calcium build up or something. You actually have to take a screwdriver and a hammer and chip it off the inside of the bowl. Does anyone know what this could be and how do i get rid of it. Ive tried several things and nothing works. Please help.

In my backyard, there is a macademia tree next to the wall dividing my backyard with my neighbor's backyard. I have identified the tall juniper trees as the mice's hideout, and they come out at night to eat the nuts. This has been going on for at least an year...

I have tried lots of things, like sitting out there part of the night and throwing sticks at the mice, but they keep coming back, and I've even tried filling some of the macademia nuts with chili pepper. I've even read that mice could jump three feet, so I made sure that no part of the tree was touching the 6 1/2 feet wall. In addition, I surrounded the base of the tree with slippery aluminum foil so it can't climb up.

I've run out of ideas, any suggestions?

Has anyone here used one of those portable air conditioners that can be moved from room to room? I see them advertised that the only installation is putting a hose through a window. I was wondering if these machines really work the way the advertiser say.

I will not do anything illegal. But I am tired of paying a big rent with nothing to show for it. I would like my family to have a real home of their own, that we can call home for the next 50+ years. I don't make a lot of money (barely enough to get by & my rent payment is one reason why). I am job searching for a better paying job. My credit has taken a hit from a nasty separation so that hurts when trying to get loans, I am working on fixing it but it takes time. Please help me with ideas to help me along the way.

Are they concerned that they will be so rough on their improvements that they would need repaired anyway before selling?
Just trying to figure out the logic...never made sense to me why some live in a dump, only to fix it up before moving.
Sure they get more money at the sale...but they would get the same money anyway and enjoyed living in it, had they improved sooner...not to mention appreciative neighbors.

I am a housewife and a babysitter. I take care of all the laundry, and cleaning, and cooking, and the kids. And anything else that needs to be taken care of inside the house. My husband goes to work......he drives 2 hours each way, and works 8 hours. He doesn't have to anything when he gets home. It would be nice if he would mow our lawn though. He thinks it is my job, since I am a housewife and that is "what I chose to do". I say it's outside of the house and that makes it his job.

In your opinion......whose job is it??

I recently moved to Central Florida near the beach. A week or two ago, I found a caterpillar in one corner of my house. Next to it was a brownish stain on the floor. I cleaned it up and today, in the same spot, was another caterpillar thing and brown stain. Is this normal for this area and how do I prevent it? I have the house sprayed every month.
