Im having issues with my hummingbird feeder. I cant keep the ants out of it. I put ant killer all the way around the post it is hanging on. I tried putting cooking oil on the hanger. Someone said that would work. It still gets ants in it. How does everyone else keep ants out of theirs?

I have what's called a Spider it somewhat is ideal outdoors my window. I have 2 buzzing fowl feeders putting on it plus one wild fowl feeder and four putting baskets with authentic plant life in them. I watch all the birds coming to eat there always even as i'm putting right here at my laptop. so a techniques (knock on timber) have by no skill had a difficulty with any of the birds that come right here to eat.

Try vaseline--Ants will not cross a nice layer of vaseline---
This helped my problem one year--Hope it helps u 2!

where you see them climbing, put a little comet.
