Three have been around so far, looked at the job, said yes no prob will get back to you with a price .
But never heard from any of them, have been decorating my mothers house and all i require is a radiator moved to another wall and a new gas open fire installed, also have a new fire surround with marble hearth and back plate and wanted some tips or maybe a price as well for fitting.
Just this work needs doing and then i can complete the job , thank you

I was thinking it was in case the pilot didn't light, in which case gas buildup could be sparked by electricity. If that is why, should the whole room be turned off?

My washing machine just crapped out on me a few days ago, and my husband and I are going tomorrow to shop for a new one. We had our dryer replaced last year right around this time and it was a gas dryer, so we had our gas company shut off the valve, and we switched to an all electric dryer. My husband has not yet pulled the washer out from the wall, but I'm just wondering if there are washers that use natural gas to heat the hot water, or if they are all electric?

Okay so my house is 7 years old on a slab with very slow drains.
Sometimes it takes an hour for a drain to finally clear but only takes 10 seconds to fill up when the water turns on. The kitchen sink is probably the only one that drains correctly. Would this most likely be a vent problem or a main problem? Also where the heck are they located? I have a drain auger but can't locate either the main drain or the vent.

I was watching on the news on how a cabin blew up and the kids got their faces burned up. It had something to do with the gas tank or the propane tank or the fuel, whatever...........

Have very little budget to work with, paid Marshall Construction of Kalamazoo to do the roof, haven't seen him since (Even with the contract), windows are in really poor condition and need to be replaced but don't have the funds to do it (Lost job like everyone else in Michigan). I have almost a zero budget to do this thanks to people like Marshall construction. Any suggestions how to get this 900 sqft home to stay warm without the furnace always working?

Some rooms are too bright with all the light bulbs burning. I want to save on electricity cost. Should I leave an empty socket or place a burned out bulb in the socket?

I accidentally got super glue on a very expensive, one of a kind wig
and I need to dissolve it!

I CAN NOT cut it. No matter what, cutting it is not an option.

I already tried acetone and nailpolish remover, and it didnt work.

I am panicking :(

What will dissolve it??

Hi,
We have a Hotpoint Aquarius 1200 washer\dryer which was working fine over the weekend but today made strange noises then when it had finished we opened the door and it was still full of water (whcih is mostly on the kitchen floor now!)

What do we do it's the first time we've had a problem with it & it't about 5 years old. Is there anything I can check myself or do we need to call someone out?

thanks,
Steve.

So the pilot light in our hot water heater is always going out. Like once ever 6 months. Although, it went out last wed and then last night. Everytime it does go out DH is able to relight it no problems. So, i was wondering who do you call to come look at your hot water heater? Gas company or someone else
