My neighbors hedge and tree are growing out of control along our property line. tree branches from trees growing on my neighbors property are hanging into the power lines on my side of the fence. Our local the utility company says they wont or cant prune trees on private property and i would have to take care of it myself. My neighbors arent willing to prune the limbs for aesthetic reasons even though i offerred to pay to have it done. with the winter storms ahead i am concerned now about preventative maintence. since my neighbors are unwilling to cooperate, can i just cut back the branches on my side of the fence without their permission or do i have to take them to court. i live in washington state if that makes any difference. thanks!

because of some interior problems, we found the entire building including the attic was wrapped in plastic before insulating. I am told the plastic in the attic must be removed because it stoppibng any flow of air and is causing moisture concens=that can cause black mold. Is there any alternative to fixing this problem.

The water came in between midnight and 7:30 a.m. At 8:30 we had a restoration company come in and vacuum the water out and install blowers and dehumidifiers. The blowers have been running for 3 days now and the company is saying we need to rip the baseboards off and replace about a foot of our drywall. We only had 2" of water. Are they telling us the truth?

I live in an area where the houses are built entirely of cement blocks including interior walls. From what I can tell the cement blocks are covered in a very smooth coat of cement applied like plaster. Then it seems they just paint over that. Many homes here have problems with the paint peeling off the wall especially near the floor boards. I assume it is a moisture issue.
There must be something that can or should go on the cement prior to paint. Some type of water proof primer? Any painters know?

I have a 3.5hp Petrol Lawn mower, which is about 10 years old but still works well - when I can actually start it without causing myself an injury. The starter pull-cord will sometimes snatch back and recoil so hard it almost breaks my wrist. If I am brave enough to perservere, once it does start its OK for a while, but then when I am least expecting it, following a stop to empty, it does it again. I'm almost getting afraid of it now. What is causing this and is there a quick fix, other than a new mower?

There is an older natural gas fireplace in the room, and I also have a new radiator looking filled electric heater. Which would be cheaper and more efficient to use to heat the 14 by 14 sunroom? I won't be heating it all the time, just when it will be in use? OR would it be cheaper to just leave the door open between the sunroom and house, and let the forced air from the furnace make it's way out there?

The light switch in my bedroom doesn't seem to control anything. We have tried lights on the top and bottom of each socket and can't seem to see where the switch runs to. The actual switch has wires connected to it. Does anyone know how to trace it?
