Tripped breaker or fuse.
Check where the electrical cord attaches to the dryer. Check for disconnections of the wires or any melted plastic. It could have shorted, but this would probably have tripped the breaker.

Did you check the vent pipe to the outside? Sometimes that needs to be cleaned out too.

If your dryer is under a year old, it's probably still under warranty. Have the repair man look at it. Meanwhile- and I know this will probably chilly- use a clothes line.

Good luck!

It was my pleasure to help you! Do you mind sharing with me what was wrong with it?

Ok, now that we have a little more information, we can address this issue.

First off, have you checked the fuse box/circuit breakers?
Did it take overly long to dry clothes the last time?
I'm going to refer you to this article from http://www.apwagner.com/appliancerepaircenter/Dryers.htm and this link here specifically addresses a dryer doing nothing at all http://www.apwagner.com/appliancerepaircenter/Dryers.htm#Q1
