My home is over 100 years old. I have a few old runs of non-grounded wire that I would like to have replaced with grounded wire (I'm going to put a computer at this location). Can an electrician just pull the old wire out and snake the new wire without securing inside the wall? I would like to avoid having to have holes in the walls? If it going to require holes and wall repair, I may just rearrange the room another way.

Thank you

Mine is stuck. I guess it screwed in the wrong way, but because it is in a bathroom, I really don't want to risk breaking the bulb. Any good ideas?

Currently the kraft paper vapor barrier on the fiberglass insulation is facing to the outside. This seems backwards. I thought the vapor barrier is always to the living space, but I am not familiar with procedure when the face brick exterior is considered.

The bench was painted with dark brown paint. The paint flaked off from the yellow cedar, but stuck to the pine. Now I removed the paint from the visible parts as good as I could. On the the underside and the back I will leave the old paint. Which product will adhere well to the yellow cedar and the pine? I would prefer a darker color because for the legs and support- 2x4s scrap wood has been used which is of different shades.I want to be sure that no cloths will be stained when sitting on the bench.

The screening is mounted in white painted aluminum frames. I have taken the screens down and washed them but this hasn't solved the problem. Can the screens be painted?
