What is the difference between a 2 pole circuit breakers rated at 200 amps. and a 4 pole (type QPP or MBK) circuit breaker rated at 200 amps.. Wiil it have the same interrupting capacity which is 200 amps.?

QPP and MBK are 2 pole breakers, not 4 pole. They are just the width of 4 single pole breakers. You don't say what 2 pole you are comparing against, but there are many differences between different breakers besides the "numbers" and only the correct one should be used. The interrupting capacity as you put it I would call the interrupting rating, which is not the 200A (that is the trip point) but something like 10,000 A or more (the fault it is capable of opening). Your electrician will know what to do.
