A contractor has removed a radiator from a hot water system. It seems to have altered the heating characteristics of the system. The remaining radiators are only getting warm on the bottom. Should a connecting pipe have been installed after removal of the radiator?. I believe he only capped off the pipes.

I are looking at an old house to buy and fix up. We went up stairs and on the paneling in one of the roomsis mold and on the rug. The owners said the house use to leak and the paneling curved from the moister. Should we be worried about more damage than what is showing or what should we do? Who do we go through to get a house inspected for stuff like this?

Hi –

As the Midwest pool season comes to an end, we have to get ready to cover our pools for the winter. I have an above ground oval 16x25 pool. Any ideas on a pillow or water equalizer so the ice doesn’t damage the pool siding? Ever year I buy one and within a month it flattens. I have bought several different types from regular square ones to premium (so they say) tubes or rectangle and they all deflate. I also only fill them up only about half to three quarters full to compensate for the expansion and contraction with the weather.
Thanks.

Hi there, if a metal thing (aluminium food container) was accidentally put into a microwave, and there was a spark (and small burn mark on the side), could this do damage to the microwave itself, and could it cause the release of harmful radiation? Thanks

I run a small business on an industrial estate with no heavy machinery and single phase electricity. My landlord has a large meter which feeds smaller meters in each unit. He bills the occupants monthly for electricity, adding his own standing charge, climate change levy, and administration charge all priced per unit. I didn't think anything of this, as my bills have been reasonable for my use, they all had readings, and I assumed he was getting these from the larger meter. He read my meter (which has no identification number) for the first time in two years yesterday. He called me later that after noon to say that there was a TEN THOUSAND pound difference between his estimates and the actual reading. Nowhere on my bills did it say they were estimated, and i never thought to check the readings against his bills as I should have done. There is no way i have used this much electricity, I need to get my meter independantly tested, and I have no idea who the main supplier is. Anyone help?
