We had this issue with it about 9 months ago, where we had to spend about £200 on the thing, again no hot water or cental heating...

If there is no spark, then either there is no electrical power to the boiler, or some part of the electronics has failed. Can be just the ignition lead wire which is more like £5, not £200 ?

You may have had a coil pack go out on you.
Theygo thru what's called "trial for fire" where the ignitor sparks for about four seconds. If it does not light, it shuts it's self down.

If it goes thru three cycles, and does not get fire, it will need to be completely reset.

You need to find the cause for initial failier.

If you're not familiar with these, I highly recommend getting someone trained in this kind of stuff.

depending on the age it might be worth considering a new one ! get a corgi registered guy to assess it. new ones are in region of £600 depending on needs and would be guaranteed it could save money in the long run

Could be the gas valve solenoid or a failed component or dry joint in the circuit board. Don't mess with it yourself, get a CORGI registered engineer in.

Is it the ignition? My boiler had an ignition problem. Bloody lot of trouble these things.

either get a corgi registered gas engineer to look at it or buy a new one and get it fitted by the above engineer..assuming you are uk based of course

Get the person from the company to check it, or you might get fire, & pressure you dont need, better safe than sorry
