My dryer runs/turns, but no heat. Does anyone have a solution I can try before calling in a repair? About how much would it cost?

Since you do not say what brand or model dryer you have all I can say is there could be a bad thermal fuse, a bad thermostat, a wire burned off somewhere, a bad heating element, a bad timer, a bad motor switch, a blown house fuse( the side of the 220V. line that supplies power to the heating element) and a few other uncommon things.

Usually a no heat problem costs right around $100 +- $20 for parts and labor. In my area that is. It depends on the area and what labor rates and part prices are.

check and make sure the duct isn't plugged up with lint. some times that can cause a dryer to not work properly.
if it's electric the element could be burned out. if it's gas make sure the pilot light is on.

The heating element is quite probably burnt out. Replacing it should not be too expensive. If you're reasonably handy, you could do it yourself. UNPLUG THE DRYER BEFORE WORKING ON IT!
