Even after I installed a fresh air intake it is still drawing air back out of the chimney and rejecting the exhaust from the hot water tank. I did notice after having a new b vent installed they did not install the drip plate, this can't be code? Its a direct run into the furnace and tank. Is this also my vent problem? Unlikely huh WTF is going on.

I bought a 50's era house, and there is no 220 volt outlet for my dryer. The house only has non-grounded (2 prong) 110 volt outlets.

Is it even possible to add a 220 outlet with this type of service?

I tried everything to keep the indoors dry. Try to make house more ventilated. But somehow fungus finds its way inside and makes black patches on the house walls. Any house hold remedy or sprays available to stop these fungus spreading over the walls.

I've heard to use wire and to break it - would rather not have the mess and/or danger of breaking it if possible - any ideas?
Thanks.

The house is brand new (less then one year old) and I am the first occupant. I haven't noticed anything else unusual in the bowl or tank. Even the tap water seems to come out of the faucet looking/ smelling normal. There is never any black residue in my sinks, showers or bathtubs. If someone has any suggestions/explanations for me, I would appreciate the feedback.

Do air conditioniers have a harder time cooling the air when its humid outside, or does the ability of the air conditioners to cool the air just depend on the temperature, not the humidity?

living area/kitchen area is covered in laminate wood flooring (i think it is the kind that snaps together). due to some major flooding (about an inch or so of water coming out of the bathroom, over the threshhold and underneath the wood), a small part of the wood floor got water underneath. i used fans on it and a dehumidifier, but the wood has seperated in a few places and sunken down in some places....kind of like a wave.

is there any way to level the floor out without replacing the damaged pieces? i rent and i really don't want to forfeit my deposit or spend a lot replacing a floor that isn't mine.
