mine too!
its because its hot out, its like a glass, the inside is cool and when its hot outside the glass, condensation occurs. Same with the ac unit. no way around it! sorry

If its coming from the area around the air handler then your condensate line is most likely clogged. Go outside first and verify nothing is blocking the end. If not then take a garden hose and shoot a 1-2 second burst of water into the condensate drain from the outside. You should get a flow back with alot of slimy gunk coming out. Also be sure and verify that the pipe isn't cracked anywhere which would have to be repaired.

The air flowing over the condeser is cooled so much that the humidity in the air is collecting as water. With every central air unit there is a pan under this condenser to collect that water and there is a drain pipe that is usually connected to your sewer (mine is connected to the drain for the bath tub) so that the water doesn't flood anything.

BUT.....(there's always a BUT isn't there?)...sometimes you can have an algal growth in that pan and it will clog the drain pipe. Have a air/heating service representative clear that pipe.

As hot as it has been this summer you might have to have it done a couple of times. I've done it myself but, oh lawsy! it is a NAY-USTEE job!

You have a problem. Central A/C system condensers do not normally have water collection outside the house. You are probably leaking freon. Call a service man. The outside unit should not be cold enough to form condensation. Unless you live in a mobile home with a "package" unit.

make sure that your drain isn't plugged. It sounds to me that your a/c is on the main floor and if it is there might be a condensate pump that isn't working. Check this out as well. There needs to be a drain to get rid of the moisture to avoid ruining your house. Also check to make sure the blower is working properly. If this doesn't work right (dirty or otherwise) the equipment will sweat all over the place. Hope this helps.
