We just had a White/Rodgers thermostat installed today, and I didn't receive an owners manual. I'm trying to find their web site to see if I can order one.

We just found out we have a mold problem that looks like little mushrooms. What is the best way to get rid of it without spreading the spores into the entire house... if that is possible. Thanks!

I have a leather couch and some areas are looking a little dry. I have a couch, loveseat and a chair and heard that mineral oil USP can be used as a conditioner. If you know if this is true or how to use it, could you please post it for me? Thanks in advance!

In the summer time it really smells like mildew. I have a dehumidifier but my husband is gripping because it runs 24-7 and it's using to much electricity. I only have it set on 5 and it goes to 10 but I dump about 1 1/2 gallons of water out of it every other day. Somebody was telling me about some kind of rock. What is it and where do you get it?

Does this mean that the septic tank needs to be pumped? We JUST bought this house and moved in a couple of days ago. I noticed at first that the Master shower drain was very slow so we used Drain-O and it seemed to help. I just walked into my bathroom and thought the kids had literally filled it with muddy water! I was MAD until I found out that NOONE did such a thing but rather it was coming up THRU the drain itself!!! Seems like both toilets also don't want to flush anything down now and they're on opposite sides of the house.

Other than hiding what's in the tank, what purpose does the tank lid serve? Thanks

No rust problems just stained and as I am restoring the knife with a new hand carved handle I would like to see the blade shine like new if possible. Any tips from experienced knife craftsmen would be appreciated. Its a German made Solingen blade if that helps.

I've been looking up info for a new water heater and many say they are self- cleaning. Does anyone know if this feature is really necessary or is it just a marketing gimmick?

Assume it's 100 degrees farenheit outside. If you set your a/c to 50 degrees, would it actually cool to that point or is there a formula and limiting factors. Where can this be found?

I have and old trunk I had restored the exterior and removed all paper in side the trunk. I painted the inside with a shellac primer that was suppose to contain the smell, but the trunk still has the smell of moth balls when left closed. What other method is there to remove the mothball smell.

I have a crack that runs from the floor to about 5' up the wall. It is a small crack, only about 1/16" wide.

I fix it with spackle and paint it but it always reappears a couple months later. Last time I fixed it I sprayed it with some polymer before painting it and it stayed fixed for a month or so longer than usual but now it's back again.

Is there an easy way to fix it permanently?

I recently had a a/c service tech out to my house ta check my system. He said it was just a little low on freon , so he topped it off. He also said he clean the coils .....and my a/c system shouldn't drip so much water (meaning it dripped alot before)
Now the catch pan in the attic is bone dry, the unit runs all the time, temp. inside goes up ta 85'.....' My electric bill almost doubled.
Can someone please tell me what could have possibly gone wrong ??? did he over charge it ? under charge it ?.
Leave something out or loose ?
