The fan is working fine...but the air doesn't really seem to be that cold...so I don't know what to do...I ran it for like 2 hours straight this afternoon and it really didn't make a noticeable difference. I live in a complex, so the filters get changed regularly. Please help! I have a 1 year old daughter and the maintence guys are gone already...and it's really quite uncomfortable in here.

Right now my house is wired so that the living room and 2 small bedrooms are wired into one circuit breaker. All I want is to pull one bedroom off the breaker and onto its own. Reason: that room is my office and there are 3 PCs in there. With all that draw on one breaker, if I try to run AC in that room it triggers the breaker. That also means no AC in the living room (I'd rather not go with central air if possible). When I moved into the house the electrician I had come in to fix a few things said there was plenty of room to add additional breakers.

What I'd like to know is the approx. cost of something like this. Note, I'm not expecting real accuracy, but are we talking a few hundred? A few thousand? Would it be cheaper to put in Central Air? Or what?

I have a 3 1/2 ton central ac unit to cool my 1800 sq foot living space house. It is over 10 years old. It used to be adequate to cool the house, even when the temperature would get into the mid 90's in mid summer here in the South. Due to the hurricane last year I had some huge 90 foot trees next to my house cut down because of the hurricane threat. Plus the summers here in the South continue to grow hotter over the 22 years I've been here. It is now in the mid 90's from June to early September.
I cannot keep my house temperature below 80 degrees when it is 95+ outside. I had my ac unit looked at, man said it was fine and that getting 80 degrees inside when it is 98 outside was reasonable. 'Reasonable? what does that mean? I think either my ac unit is too small to cool my living space due to increasing global warming, or I have terrible insulation. What would you do to solve this problem?

We have had at least three drip coffee makers that have overflowed. Some were even new. The coffee would go into the filter basket and never go out into the carafe and eventually overflow. We have one now that doesn't have a carafe, but stays in the container until you place a cup under it, but would like to find out why we have had this problem with more than one brand.

I have a tub/shower combo which has the little "pull-up" valve that switches the water flow from the tub faucets to the showerhead. I have had increasing problems having to jiggle the little pull-up on the faucet to get it to switch and now it simply will not do it. Is there a simple way for me to fix it without payng huge plumber prices?
