Our hot tub has a slow leak (dripping but we cannot find it even after taking the wood skirt off). How does one detect leaks that aren't visible? I heard of using a food-dye? Any advice is appreciated.

I have a garage with NO gutters - the rain just runs off and digs a trough in the ground along both sides.

Would installing gutters be hard? And about how much would I expect to spend? (and how much would I expect to spend if I hired someone to do it for me?)

The following nine items are on one 15 amp circuit. I want to add a tenth item.

On one 15 amp wire (one 15 amp circuit) there are currently :

1) Back Door outside Light (one bulb, 75 watt)

2) Light fixture above Washer and Dryer (two 75 watt bulbs)

3) Light in Garage (one 100 watt bulb)

4) Lights for automatic Garage Door Opener (two 60 watt bulbs)

5) Automatic Garage Door Opener (unknown wattage)

6) Two outlets in the garage (sometimes used)

7) Garage Attic Fan (unknown wattage)

8) Two light fixtures on the outside of the garage door (one on either side) (two 60 watt bulbs total)

9) One outdoor motion light fixture with two 100 watt bulbs.

Here is my question. There are currently 9 items shown above. I want to add another item so the future total will be 10 items. This is what I want to add : I want to add ANOTHER outdoor automatic motion light with two 100 watt bulbs. Will I be overloading this 15 amp circuit?
Thank you.

I have heard that ac repairmen would prefer to swap out a full ac unit, instead of swapping out just the compresssor or the fan motor. It that really neccessary or is it a scam? I have a gas handler in the garage (works fine), but my ac unit (42,000 btu; 3.5 tons) has a burnt compresor and burnt fan motor. Why Can't I just get the compressor and motor replaced and save all types of money???

A few months ago I was laid off my job as an Art Director. On the same day my wife was coming to get me (had to give up company car), she was 1st car hit in high speed 4 car pile up, she was fine a month later but our Jeep was totaled, insurance paid off Jeep but left us with-out extra vehicle. My wife uses our only car to get to work. We live in a rural area, zero jobs, no public transportation; my unemployment is quickly running out, we need another car quickly. I WANT TO WORK!

I have 22 yrs experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall & painting! Have done many remodels. If you have a good running spare vehicle and need some work done it would be a win win situation for us all. Of course you'd buy materials for any building needs and I'd provide labor in trade for good running vehicle. This is not an ad. I am not selling, I am looking to buy with my labor. Thank you!

The two fluorescent bulbs in my kitchen quit working. I bought new ones, they worked a few days, and then they stopped working. By stop working, I mean they turn on but flicker and are very dim. I bought a starter to discover my lights don't use a starter, they use this thing I have never heard of called a ballast. So, I bought a ballast and some wire connectors to connect it. I bought new bulbs to be on the safe side, and they worked great for a few days, and now are doing the same thing again. Does anyone know anything else I can try?
