Actually, you need to go to the source. First you need some materials however. Buy a pound of gunpowder or black powder and also some fuse powder. Now you need to find one or two anyhills around your house. Find them and pour the gunpowder around their anthill. The ants will carry them back into their hive and store it. Do it daily until you use up the pound of gunpowder. Now pour the fuse powder directly into the anthill and make a trail until youre a safe distance away. Light it up and watch the fun. The ground should rise a bit and then settle back down. You will probably find anthills where you didnt know existed before as well. Chances are, the entire hive is wiped out by now. A good ant is a dead ant.

Terro ant poison is the best I have ever used. You can find it at Walmart or maybe some hardware stores. It comes in a box with 6 traps for about 4 or 5 dollars. Place them in areas infected and along trails. The ants eat it and take it back to their home, works within days. Good Luck

The reason you have ants is because they found food in your house. First.. get your vacuum cleaner out and suck them all up. Next.. clean your damn house. Once its clean, keep your countertops wiped down, for example.. after you make a sandwich, dont leave the crumbs there. Buy a package of Combat ant baits. Put them around where you see Ants the most. They will take the bait back to the nest with them (usually located outside the house) and it will kill the other ants. If you have a real bad case.. go to the store and buy a gallon of spray that you can spray around your foundation. The best way to keep them from coming back is to clean up, dont leave food and crumbs laying around.

We have the same problem. And by the way, ants will find their way into your house even if it is clean. We are in the process of selling our house and we keep it spotless. Now back your little guests. The best working stuff I have ever used is called Terro. My mother in law gave it to us. It comes in liquid form in a little bottle and the active ingredient is decahydrate(Borax). Put some down on wax paper or cardboard and place it in their trail. The little buggers love it. We put it down at night as we have kids and pets. The ants eat it and bring it back home and feed it to the other ants. It kills the whole bunch of them. Try it! IT WORKS! If a different colony finds its way in just repeat! Good luck.

If you have a cleaning product, like a Lysol or Clorox (not bleach, though) spray, you can spray them with it to kill them. Also, find their trail and spray along it to ruin their scent trail. This will help to keep more from coming into your house. It's probably time to do some cleaning...

Anteaters are the best, but their poop really stinks up the back yard. So instead I have resorted to going to ACE hardware and bought stuff that's supposed to last 90 days, and I squirted in the cracks of my baseboards.
