take the back off and check the belt. it could be loose, it could have popped off, or broken.

if yo hear the motor running for sure
remove the kick plate at the bottom of the front
and see if your belt is broke
you have a tensioner that the belt will loop thur
at the corners of the top of the washer left and right you have a clip that holds the top down screw driver them in and up one at a time
lift the drum out or work the belt around the drum
might as well replace the rollers too while you have it open
the belt will go around the drum and then the loop goes thur the tensionerand aroun the pulley on the motor.
my favorite saying KISS keep it simple . Not hard at all

Most likely the problem is the belt. Once that is checked and ruled out take the cover off and see if the drum spind by hand. If it it hard to spin then the bearing support at the back of the drum is probably in need of replacement. Next look at the nylon glides towards the front of the drum.
Probably worth fixing.

It may just be a broken belt. You can usually pop the top of a dryer and see the drum and the belt around it. If the drum spins easily and you dont see a belt then that is the problem

If the motor is working then it probably is the belt that turns the drum has either slipped off or is broken. Find someone handy to take off the back after shutting off the gas and checking the belt first and if it needs replacing have them replace it.

Probably the belt. Turn the dryer around and you will see if that is the problem. It fits around the whole drum. This site tells you how to replace it. m

Get it repaired because the motor still works and u probably have a fault in the rotating shaft, just give it a shot and u might learn alot. most people would probably go out and bye a new one out of sheer lazyness.

Which ever is the most econimical, you should do. i would probalby want a new one, but trying to get it fixed shoud be done before getting one. If the service person says, it can't be fixed, or the dryer stops all together, get a new one!

Probably just needs a belt, easier if you can find somebody there to do it for you or you can do it yourself. More of a pain in the butt to load it up and haul it to the repair shop than it is to fix it.

repair- probably just a belt. if the heat's still on when you run it, it would cost you less to have a repair as to buying new. good luck!!
