What work was actually done to fix it? Could the pressure have been wrong, and somehow he fixed it? The 50/80 can't be the temp outside, because this is arizona and it must have been around 105 when he came today. What else could split 50/80 mean?

The 70L/325H is the pressure in the system, 70psi on the low side(before compreesor), 325psi on the high side(after compressor). Split 50/80 is a split system, heating and cooling are separate units, but run off the same fan in the furnace unit. I would assume the 50 is the temp coming out at the eveaporator. The 80 could be the outside temp by the condensor.

These guys are good. 50/80 is 80 deg. air going into your a/c unit and 50 deg. coming out, very good.

70/325 denotes the operating pressures of your system, unless you know about the physics of refrigerants, these number mean nothing to you.

50/80 split is refering to the evaporator or indoor blower. the air coming out of it into the space is 50, which is excelent, i usually see about 56 or so, and 80 is the return air temp of the air going back into the indoor blower
