My neighbor has asked for reimbursement for past tree trimmings that she has paid for. I had told her that I am not responsible to pay for the reimbursement because my husband and I could trim the tree, but she clearly stated that she did not feel confortable us doing the trimming and she perfered to pay for a licensed, insured, bonded person to do the job. I told her we were not going to pay for this service since the beginning and now she wants reimbursement $1100.00.

I have these camel crickets in my house (big jumping spidery looking things). Is there anyway of getting rid of those. They seem to be multiplying.

I live in Vegas so it's REALLY hot right now. I came home and my air conditioner was not working. Does my apartment complex have to fix the problem if it is stated in their advertisements that they have it and it was working when I moved in?

It doesn't even sound like it will start. It has compression, new gas/oil, plug looks ok. I've even pushed a toothpick through the cap vent hole.

This sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Especially for those of us in South Florida, who HATE cutting the lawn in Summer (or maybe some of you don't mind the hot, steamy weather). You could have a mower with a sound system built in, and maybe even a DVD player. Or perhaps that would be too distracting.
You could even have a cooler for soda, and a holder for chips.
Okay, so maybe I'm going too far. What do you think?

If your home is infested with termites, are you able to hear chewing sounds? I swear I have heard an odd chewing noise several times when I am trying to put my son down for a nap, and it sounds like it is coming from a wall. Any ideas?

Would it be safe to do it? I'm talking about right up against the house. I'm watching my neighbor doing it right now.. My wife is over there talking to his wife about it and seeing why he is doing it. His house is wooden i think. Couldn't the wall fall back and cause havoc with his house?? Are there laws against that? I looked but couldn't find any..Not being nosy just trying to make sure noone gets hurt.

My question is really, how to support the patch for the old hole? I know how to cut the new hole .I know that the new hole cut will fit into the old hole, just looking for the best way to support the patch. Is it really that easy that you can just nail wood beams in between
the floor supports and then glue and screw it to the support beams?
