My box has all 120v circuits fed using 2-pole breakers (and all are properly PHYSICALLY tied together so shared neutral is always dead when de-energized). The only advantage I see this offers is a nice cleanly wired box....is there something I"m missing?

The only disadvantage is i have to turn off both circuits together (i know its a saftey issue to not do so, like i said all the 2-poles are physically joined), more of an inconvienence...

We lost our original skeleton key/bit key to an old hutch we have, and have tried several other bit keys but none seem to work!

I did jingle the handle but that does not seem to help. It is fine for a few minutes and then it starts running and then you can hear the pump stop (which is really loud)

My husband recently installed some new doors onto our deck and used that foamy insulator called "Great Stuff" to fill in the gaps around them. Some got on the doors and on the carpet - how do I clean it up without ruining the finish/carpet?

The only sink in the house that smells is the new kitchen sink. It only smells for a few seconds, then is normal. Only cold tap is affected. The pipe feeding the new sink is new also, but the rest of the house plumbing is old piping.

The smell is very strong and permeates the entire space. House has been unlived in for 4 months. What can be used to clean up the source of the odor, not just to cosmetically cover the odor temporarily?

I was making some chicken in the oven about two days ago and some stuff fell on the bottom of the oven. It's now baked onto the bottom of my stove and everytime I turn it on to bake in about 1 minute the kitchen smells like it's on fire! It's so bad it stings my eyes! What can I do to clean the oven out? I'm afraid that if I use a soap or bathroom cleaner my oven will explode the next time I turn it on :( Please help!!

ok, I have a really old bathtub and the only thing that I can find that cleans it well without scratching it are Brillo Pads, the problem is they leave little rust flakes that stick to the tub and look terrible. Any ideas on how to clean an old tub without damaging it?

Most poor neighborhood will have trashy yards.. If they are poor because they can't hold down a job,,,then why shouldn't they have the time to pick up there yard? It doesn't take 1 dime to clean your yard, and use some of that junk to make a fence in the back yard to hide the trash.. or make a burn pile and burn it? I don't understand why,,,,,?? They have the time! I am not being rude, or mean spirited,, i am really curious what your feedback is on this subject.
Please give logical answers.

Obviously, I don't powerwash very often, and my wrists and hands were not accustomed to the vibration. Are there special gloves that I should wear, or some type of wrist protectors. I was not using an industrial powerwasher, but the pressure could be sufficient to seriously "cut into" the wood if I was not careful. I need to powerwash again, so any help would be appreciated!

I seem to remember there was a solution to this but can no longer remember what it is. Perhaps fabric softener sheets?
