The only sink in the house that smells is the new kitchen sink. It only smells for a few seconds, then is normal. Only cold tap is affected. The pipe feeding the new sink is new also, but the rest of the house plumbing is old piping.

Yes, sulpher gives it the smell.
Nothing to do but to drain it and the other taps in your house.
It goes away after a while.
Sometimes your water heater will grow sulphur compounds as well.

ON A WELL SYSTEM YOU MAY HAVE SOME SULFER IN THE WATER
OR IF YA LET IT RUN SOON ALL VAPORS WILL BE GONE
AS TO BE CALLED BREAKIN IT IN TO THE SYSTEM
