, call the gas company-You are not allowed to do that its not your property, and not a smart thing to do to be safe leave it alone

You need to contact your gas provider. Even monkeying around a gas meter with the wrong tools can cause an explosion.

I work for a propane comany. IF YOUR GAS METER HAS A PLUG, OR SEVERAL PLUGS AND IS NOT LOCKED OFF, GET IT REPLACED ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
