I have two evergreen trees in my backyard. I live in the suburbs of St. Louis in Missouri. I do not know what their specific species is or whatever, but I am pretty sure their cones shouldn't be slimy and grow strange long strands. I first noticed the sliminess about 3 or more years ago, but have ignored it. It was at first only on the largest tree. But recently, when I was cutting the lawn, I noticed now that all the evergreen trees in my backyard have slimy cones with strange growths. The trees don't seem to be dying. I was wondering if I should be worrying about this, if this was a disease, and if so what it was, and if so if I should do something about it, and if so what should I do?

I had 2 honey locust trees planted in my parkway in mid June. One is doing great and the other appears to not be doing so good. The leaves are turning yellow and starting to fall off.
The leaves are supposed to stay green until the fall.
They both were in a burlap ball and they are about 15 feet in height. Can I save it? Is it too late?

Did my mother plant these or are they volunteer?
I was surprised after I spent a whole afternoon and evening cutting an unruley bush out next to my drive. I hacked and cut and filled an entire truck bed with limbs and when I pulled up in the drive 4 days later these pretty long stemmed lillies popped up where the bush was cut out.
My mother died about 14 yrs ago and I keep wondering if all these little surprises came from her or it they are just something that pops up volunteer. My boyfriend tells me these are called surprise lillies. Where do they come from?

Here's my problem: I think a queen bumble bee is digging a hole in my backyard for her nest. I watched her for about five minutes and she kept coming up and going down into the hole. But I can't tell if she's a queen or if it's a worker. I also have cats. And I'm wondering if this is a nest what the heck I should do - I don't want to kill it.
Queen or worker?
Let be or kill?

Okay, my cat was swatting at a bumblebee and now the bee can't fly very well. I took a look at it to see if I should kill it and put it out of it's misery, but it was doing something weird after it found out it couldn't fly - it was digging a hole and going into it like a mole. What is going on here - should I kill it? Is it going underground to heal and come out later? Answer quickly please!

The tree/shrub has a reddish bark and has blackish berries on it. The berries are smaller than a pearl and start off tiny and green. The flowers start off white and soft but when the berries fall off, the flowers turn red/purpleish and become hard.
