my cherry seems to be healthy. it is 4 or 5 years old and gets lots of cherries. the ony problem is the fruit starts to turn red then stays hard. the fruit then either becomes brown and drops or just drops off the tree. the dropped fruit is still hard and not ripe. The birds won't even eat the fruit. Can you tell me why this happens?

This year we have some extremily strange catnip plants growing. They smell like catnip, and closeley resemble it.. but they seem to of merged with something else, possibly an unknown plant that we may of pulled out earlier in the season. The leaves are like the regular catnip plant, but are much more dark and shiny. It definately merged with something..

and there's cedar hedging near. We're on the west coast so the rain has been plentiful. I feed my clippings and other yard waste to the two chickens I keep so I can't use pesticides.
