I'm tryin to find a really great flower to go with my collection of favorite things. Please, please dont answer my question with "a woman". I would like the name of a flower, and maybe it's scientific name, too. If you could, please copy and paste a link to a picture, too. Thanks

We were given a plant a year or two ago. Here's its picture.

It has a scent when you tear a leaf or cut off a branch that's fairly pleasant. If anyone can tell me what it is, I'll be grateful!

I live in the S.E. USA and am having a problem with snakes. I would prefer a natural solution, say a plant that might serve as a natural repellant. Any suggestions?

I recently planted grass after sowing our lawn. Now there are weeds popping up all around. I cannot pull them because then i would have to walk into the new grassy areas. I do not want to hurt the new grass coming up. My neighbor says it is stupid to pull the weeds, because he says the grass will eventually kill the weeds by growing up around them. What do you say?

I know there are beneficial bugs like ladybugs, which is fine with me, but what about the biting, stinging stuff?

We have everything from mosquitos, to bees, to black widow spiders. Our yard is part woods, part lawn, part raised planter beds. The woods are full of spiders and other creepy crawly things. I would like to enjoy the shade and serenity of the woods, so do I have to accept the bugs as part of the deal, or is there a way to repel them from wooded areas? I'd prefer non-toxic means, if possible.

(Especially the black widows--yuck! I'm afraid my dog will get bitten.)

The earwigs are all outdoors, I would like to make sure they do not move indoors. Also want to stop them from messing up my plants outdoors by chewing up the leaves and blooms.

We bought a house in NE Texas a year or so ago. It had 2 older peach trees; last year the produce very little uneatable fruit. So I pruned the trees in the fall and watered them and they are both loaded down with peaches one with an early ripening varity and a late peach (I am assuming) The earlies were large and beautiful but had what looks like sap oozing out and when you cut them open the seeds are split. I have been told that they take a lot of spraying to produce good eatable peaches. any suggestions?

We laid some pond lining down and filled it with water, now we're finding small larvae kind of creatures on the side in the water, how do we stop this without using expensive chlorine? Does salt work?

They grow out in the middle of the grass, and I don't believe I am overwatering. My grass isn't that old -- it was put in a few years ago. Any ideas?!

I have a front yard that is mostly concrete & black, broken-up asphalt. It is hideous. I want to change it and at least get it to look half way decent. The problem is that I cannot figure out what to do. The concrete is nice and is pretty much a patio, but the asphalt just looks like the road runs into my house. Any ideas what to do with the asphalt? I would love grass or something, but do not want to rip the asphalt out (not sure if the ground underneath is even plantable). Anyway, let me know if you have any ideas for landscaping over asphalt. Thanks!!!

There is thick, overgrown weeds and brush. We've trimmed most of it down. Roundup is expensive to kill everything and time consuming to spray. (yard is .6 acres) Do we really have to buy a bunch of screened topsoil for great grass. We don't have a TON of extra money because of downpayments, etc. We live in W. MI. Any resonable landscapers with advice or a reasonable plan?
