Get some Snake-Away. It contains moth balls AND sulfur. It causes the snake to become disoriented and he WILL NOT come into a yard that is surrounded by this product. They sent this stuff over to Iraq to protect soldiers from Desert Vipers and other creepy crawlers. Find it at Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart.

I'm not sure about which particular plants... BUT, I could tell you what they ARE attracted to!
1.) Try not to let your grass or your plants grow too long. Snakes like to hide.
2.) If it will attract mice, then it will also attract snakes.
3.) Snakes don't like to go through gravel pathways, especially the really rocky ones. You might want to have a gravel path around those places that you travel through frequently.

I reside in central Florida and have had this problem living in the country, have been told by the area old timers that moth balls do great spread around and that some of the predatory bird statutes, available at garden shops, like owls and eagles work too and also keep out snake food rodents as well

I have also heard that mothballs will repel snakes. Don't know if thats true, but I hate snakes and I keep my grass mowed very short and have no piles of wood or shrubs around that they can hide under. Also, believe it or not get yourself a pet Ferret. Ferrets hate snakes and will kill one if they see it. They use them in England to get snakes and farmers used to use Ferrets to kill rats around their corn bins. We owned one and it was very gentle. Ferrets also will go after mice and will kill them. Pet stores sell them. A library or pet store will have books on how to care for them. Ours lived for about 7 years.

I am not familiar with a plant that "repels" them, but try to make the environment unsuitable for them. Avoid mass plantings and groundcovers.
