I also have small children, so just leaving them doesn't seem like such a good idea.

Any ideas?!

wood spores -they will play them self out and if u do anything 2 them you will kill the grass-the coolest is when they make a fairy ring -from a fallen tree-but since ur grass is new i would imagine they use like of wood chips cause its cheap-just give it time -your watching nature in action and its cool--this same forest rotting action is the only thing that has been found that will neutralize nuclear waste but it takes so long -where talking on gods time scale not ours-so look at it and enjoy and know its as it should be

Mushrooms in your lawn should be the least of your worries - grass is a natural plant and other natural things will occur with it -why get all worked up over a naturally occuring thing? Think of them as an ornament in your lawn ~ free. don't worry about it, let them just grow -they won;t overtake your lawn and so what if you don;t look like the Joneses.

I had mushrooms. You don't have enough drainage. I have a small amount of grass so I pulled up the sod and added sand to the soil to help it drain. Haven't had mushrooms ever since.

Mushrooms grow from decomposing wood. There is nothing you can do until the wood under your soil has decomposed.
