I have a plant which is in the same family as a Hindu Rope aka Rope Plant aka Hoyas. It gets the similar "umbrella" like flower cluster, however, instead of being rope like it has very shiney white dappled leaves and it vines. What is its common name???

I want to plant a bunch of trees in my back yard (I have a big back yard). And the shape of the tree is important. I'm going for a Bonsai tree look, but obviously want something larger. Preferably, I want an evergreen tree that will get no larger than about 8 feet tall, with an 8 feet spread, and that has a "flattened" horizontal shape. Any ideas?

Thanks.

My fence in too low in my back yard and I want to palnt a tree or shrub to block the veiw from my neighbor, any good recommeded trees or shrubs that grow really tall, I don't feel like buying a higher fence, so I figuered I would do this the taller the better

I don't know if they're just annoying the plants or what because I haven't seen any damage as of yet. They are shaped like a housefly, but about a half to a third the size and they are a beautiful green color. How do I get rid of them? *Should* I get rid of them? And they only seem to hang certain plants. They *love* my new little Catalpa tree - it's about a foot high. And they're hanging around the Clethra (Summersweet).

I want to plant a vegetable garden next year but the part of my property where it needs to go is below the septic leachfield. Will that be a problem? What should I do?

I don't want a lot of weeds, but runoff water might wash away my seeds. Any suggestions?

This is a strange question sicne you have no idea what it looks like or the products involved but i am hoping that osmeone can give me some ideas for what i should look for so that i can best attack this probvlem and get it turned on. Here is what i know:

It is a small, man-made water pond with two pipes (about 1 inch in diameter) going down into the lowest parts of this pond (in the water). From what i gather there is also another (concealed) pipe that creates a waterfall effect down the rockface (of the pond) on one-side of this pond (the waterfall is about 3-4 ft above the water's surface).

I also notice there is this black plastic box near the pond and inside i see two pipes ... one smaller pipe with many little holes and another on the ground (of this box) open...My guess is this box fills with water and maybe this is how the water is recycled from the pond's surface and pumped up again to the fall?

Is there some electric cord i should be looking for to turn this on?

They were doing so well and all of a sudden the flowers went from purple to brown, shriveled up and looking lifeless. Some of the leaves have brown spots on them too. I think perhaps maybe they're getting too much sun? I planted them in the front of the house where the sun rises in the morning. I have trees that block the sun first thing in the morning. They get the most sun from 10 to 12. Is this what's causing them to turn brown or could it be something else?
