I want to plant a vegetable garden next year but the part of my property where it needs to go is below the septic leachfield. Will that be a problem? What should I do?

Not a problem. Unless the leech field clogs and backs up to the surface of the ground. Gravity takes things down. Earth purifies. By the time water hits the leech field it is mostly pure anyway.

Okay gross, but it may be good also. Farmers (believe it or not) use human waste for their fields (where I come from) The local sewage plant delivers it right to them. It is better than cow manure. You oughta see that stuff grow. So, I would think it wouldn't be any different, unless you are dumping a lot of harmful chemicals down the drain.

This should'nt be a problem after all it's free fertilizer. However check with your local cooperative extention before planting to be sure. Also try sites like HGTV for information and ideas.
