My girlfriend and I just purchased a condo. One thing that we overlooked is that there are no ceiling lights in the bedrooms (3). There are wall switches that operate wall-outlets.

Is it possible to add ceiling lights / fans to the rooms and how much of a pain is it to do ??

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a bottle with an image printed on it and I have tried everything to remove it (nail polish remover, paint thinner, lacquer thinner, sandpaper, etc.) and nothing works. Any suggestions on some industrial strength solvent or technique I could use to get it off? Thanks!

I've just made some fitted wardrobes that run the entire length of a wall and want to make the doors from wall cladding timber. Each door will be 2.5m tall and 0.5m wide. I intend to make the frames from 25mm x 50mm pse then fasten the cladding boards to them. The doors will sit proud of the wardrobe frame. (so as to hide it) Just wondering which hinges I should use and is there any difference.

The front of my oven door? My oven is white like the rest of my appliances, but the glass on the door is black.

You can see that the glass slides out & can be changed. SO where can I get another glass piece from? Its a Hotpoint by GE?

The original floor treatment was asbestos tiles. After a few sewer backups the tiles are starting to raise up and buckle. I think it would be cost prohibitive to have the tiles removed and discarded because they contain asbestos. Is there something that would seal all this in and allow us to put carpet or other flooring material on top? I would suspect many people who had renovations done in the 60's are having this exact same problem.
