Teak would be the best until you priced it out ---wow!
both redwood and cedar, like teak have naturally occurring oils
that will ensure a long life in such a demanding environment.
With the redwood and cedar plan on spending the extra $$ for "clear"
boards -- free of knots -- it i"ll be easier on the bottom.

As mentioned, Teak or redwood are the best but you might also try man-made wood! This product is made from recycled plastic and is great in saunas!

I had the job of building saunas in a very large resort in the Poconos. The plans called for redwood. The walls, benches, everything were solid redwood. It worked out fine. Now years later the saunas are still going strong, no problems.

usually they use ceadar. it tends to hold up better in weather and wet environments. and of course its also salt treated for outdoor use. treated pine works too but pine will swell when exposed to the elements ceadar wont.
