What I am looking for is basicly a husk socket, with bottom turn switch, threaded on the outside to accept a retainer ring to hold a lamp shade. This item is rapidly becoming a standard, but I can't find one. I tried Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

Im in the process of mounting a lcd tv as well as its components such as game console, dvd player, and such. The components will be on a floating av rack in the middle of the wall, the only power source would be the light switch maybe 3ft away that controls a ceiling fan. My question is, would I be able to safely pull power from that switch and connect the tv and its components to it without over loading the circuit.

I'd like to paint my bathroom with a technique I believe is called "glazing." It's two different colors of paint and the finish looks kind of crinkle-ish. Can anyone tell me how to do it? Thanks!

I need to make some magnet boards and places like Home Depot and Lowe's only have HUGE sheets, I need 2' square or around that size of sheets, thin metal magnetic sheets.

I'm looking for a small, electric water heater that could be directly hooked up to one shower/tub. Does one exist? If so, where could I find a resonably priced one? Thanks!!

I'm interested in buying small (no bigger than 2x2 inches) tiles to use to make mosaics. The big-box hardware stores have been disappointing selection-wise and art store mosaic tiles are very expensive, so I'm looking for an affordable option. Saw an ad in the paper for Buddy's and am wondering if they have small tile (like what is used on bathroom floors) in multiple colors at reasonable prices, and if they are even open to the public or just to contractors. Any information on this particulate store or other options would be most appreciated. Thanks!
