I ordered great room darkener shades from JustBlinds.com

http://www.justblinds.com/dynamic/product.cfm?productID=84

Just be sure and measure very carefully!

They were very easy to install and do a great job of keeping my room dark even in very bright sun.

Hi,what a great question as i need some myself,as my bedroom curtains let in too much darn light and it is maddening first thing in morning,I went to ask.com and found many choices but this seems best, just go to site, then on left hand side there's a menu of type of drapery, just scroll to blackout then bingo you have a great choice.:):)

Fabric.com sells blackout material, just sew a hem on one end and a pocket on the other and there you have your drapes, at a fraction of the cost of buying them already made. This way you can make them to the size that you want. If this doesn't appeal to you, Lowes might still have them. I saw them at our local one awhile back.
