That is gonna be nearly impossible. If you're concerned about leaving holes on the walls, don't worry. That's why they have that high *** security deposit. Because all they do is caulk the small holes. And if you notice on the walls because if you see like some bubbled up spots, that's what they are, and they just painted over it. Because there are adhesives that you can stick on your wall without tearing it up but it won't hold a picture frame onto the wall. The only alternative is to put them up on a shelf or a table. There's really no getting around that. And I got pics all over my apartment. Take a chance, nail and hammer. You can look in a hardware store or in michaels or in hobby lobby and find the framing section and they have nails especailly for picture framing. They come with a thin nail that comes with a hook, and it will take some of that pressure off the nail because the picture will hang on the hook. There are some plastic hooks that adhere to the wall, but I don't know how good it will hold, but you can try.

As a former apartment manager, here's my advice:
Purchase picture hanging hook rated for the weight of your pictures. These use small nails, but will properly support your picture.
DO NOT use poster tacky sticky stuff or adhesive hooks. The poster tacky will leave nasty grease spots that paint alone will never cover. Although the 3m adhesive hooks are grand... most apartments have too many layers of paint and these may pull the paint loose.
As a landlord - I'd much rather patch the small holes from properly hung pictures than repair the damage from improperly hung pictures.
Good luck!

When you rent an apartment, it is a given that you will be hanging some things on the walls and that won't take any of your security deposit when you leave. They come in, spackle and paint. It is part of the rent.
If you still don't want to use nails or picture hangars, 3M is starting to introduce some hanging methods that don't damage the wall.
Check at your hardware stores or place like Home Depot....whatever is where you live.

It's either nail holes or "stickies"
I'd go with the nail hole. Buy a can of spackle and be prepared to slop it in the holes when you move out.
